The characters are endearing and it's so much fun to read the dialogue between Robyn and Gabe. His bother Nick is troubled and worried about finding a true home. Gabe is too busy parenting his brother to make time for love or Christmas, but is drawn to Robyn regardless. Unfortunately, she'd more attracted to the studio security guard than to any of the contestants they've selected for her. It's finally time for the eldest Kringle to find her true love-on a television game show. Robin moved in with her when she was 14 after years of being treated like a boy by her father.Not her best Kringle book, but very enjoyable

Her actress, Lucy Hale, played Miranda Hampson, the brief girlfriend of Justin Russo, who was played by fellow HIMYM actor David Henrie (Luke Mosby), on Wizards of Waverly Place.

She reassures Lily that it's not a bad or abnormal thing Robin isn't freaking out about her wedding day. On the day of her sister's wedding, Katie is seen playing hockey with Robin and watching The Wedding Bride Too along with the gang in Vesuvius. Katie briefly shows up in a flashback during Little Boys, as an example of how her sister hated kids. She finds her sister's diary and learned Robin lost her virginity to old friend Brian, because he wanted to know if he was gay.

When she returns home, Katie sleeps in Robin's old room. Katie is devastated and pours her heart out to Robin, but ends up having a great first time in New York. When Katie tells Kyle she wants to wait, he breaks up with her. Eventually, Ted is the one who convinces Katie to wait before having sex with Kyle by showing her that even apparently nice guys his age put sex as a priority before anything else. Along with the prospect of having sex, Katie shows several more signs of teenage experimentation, such as smoking and drinking. She tries to talk Katie out of it, but fails. Robin is shocked when she finds out Katie is planning to lose her virginity to Kyle. When Katie visits Robin in New York, she is uncomfortable with Katie having a boyfriend, Kyle.
